Hospitality: The Coffee Bar

I am so grateful for slower days, when I can putter around in the house.

Today I stripped the décor of all pinks and yellows,

bringing out my box from the basement

labeled “Blue and White Summer.”

I love to create a Coastal Beach theme in the

Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen in Summer.

It is refreshing and cool.

Here’s a peak at what I’m doing now:

Later on this week, I am hosting a Coffee for some women who have served as mentors for our son and some other young people  in our lives.

In 3 days, our home will be brimming with kids, ladies, and delicious food to be enjoyed with Coffee.  We are going with a Beachy Coastal Theme for the gathering.

I love this little Blackboard, which can be home to any message the family needs to read.

I fell in love with the Coffee Bar Idea discovered last year on Pinterest.

My husband claims he has never met anyone who gets so much joy from changing a couple of coffee cups and items around on a few shelves.

I think he secretly loves it that I get so excited, though, because he made the shelves for me, and he is a Big Coffee Drinker!   He and I gather here very early every morning to pour a few cups and chat before getting dressed and ready to face the day.   It has been a pleasure to indulge in different creamers and flavored coffees, and I credit the Coffee Station for inspiring us to make this ritual a daily one.
