Summer is finally almost here! A time to spend more days at home. A time to stop, reflect, and be thankful for all of our blessings.
I am so grateful for slower days, when I can putter around in the house.
Today I stripped the house décor of all pinks and yellows,
bringing out my box from the basement labeled
“Blue and White Summer.”
In late May, I love to create a Coastal Beach theme
in theLiving Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen
It is an environment that is refreshing and cool.
Here’s a peak at what I’m doing now:
Later on this week, I am hosting a Coffee for some women who have served as mentors for our church youth
In 3 days, our home will be brimming with kids, ladies, and delicious food to be enjoyed with Iced Coffee.
We are going with a Beachy Coastal Theme for the gathering.
I fell in love with the Coffee Bar Idea discovered years ago on Pinterest.
My husband claims he has never met anyone who gets so much joy from changing a couple of coffee cups and items around on a few shelves.
I think he secretly loves it that I get so excited, though, because he made these shelves for me,
and he is a Big Coffee Drinker!
He and I gather here very early every morning to pour a few cups and chat before getting dressed and ready to face the day. It has been a pleasure to indulge in different creamers and flavored coffees, and I credit the Coffee Station for inspiring us to make this ritual a daily one.
