The Hutch: A Summer Project –Day 6

 

the hutchMy Antique Hutch has been a bit of an eyesore in days of late.

This Hutch was a gift to my younger sister and me when we were children.

My Aunt June lovingly restored it to match our

French Provential Furniture Set

in our “Girly” Decorated Bedroom.

When I married, it was one of the few pieces of furniture that I

carried with me to Arkansas for our new home.

My plates are safely tucked away until company comes.

It took 2 hours to empty it, scrub the shelves,

and beautify the contents.

I love the little bird figurine given to me on my 16th Birthday by my Mother, along with a large Picnic Basket, which she explained would have to serve as my

My goals were to add more blue in the Hutch,

and also to add a bit of  summer to the look.

My 40 Day Project Challenge is giving me

motivation to get things done

and to

stop procrastinating.
