The Attitude-Impaired Morning

Today was an “Attitude Challenger.”

Ever had one of those?

Brooke demonstrates my exact feelings

You know, when one nearly pulls out every hair on the head by 8:30am?

I blame myself.  Totally… I should have known better, should have set 2 alarms as I did in college the day of a Major Exam.

Should have drank 3 cups of Coffee right off the bat out of bed.

I never do well staying up late at night.  Last night I was out until after 11:30 pm with some friends…

Support, we call it…

At Panera Bread.

It was wonderful, and although I promised myself I would leave on the dot at 9pm,

I stayed until the vacuuming was completed at the Restaurant.

Closed the place down with the Manager, you might say.

Then came the Morning… 4 am as it always comes.

And I did not get up to do my usual routine.

I was the 3rd one to get up, which spells disaster.

Cozy bed for babe

So…

Here it is, the Antidote to the Attitude Challenging Day

by Chuck Swindoll.  It helped me, perhaps it will help you!

Attitude

Is more important than the past,

Than education,Than money, than circumstance,

Than what other people think, or do.

Attitude is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.

Attitude will make or break a company, a church, or a home.

The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude

We will embrace for that day.

We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.

We cannot change  the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our Attitude.

Philipians 2:1-11

We each have our share of  “Do Overs” at our house,

and today I needed to use mine.

And you can bet that I did perform a “do over” in my heart, humbly and with many public apologies.

I’m so glad there is Grace and Mercy!

And Forgiveness!

What about you, do you have a Antidote to the Attitude-Challenged Morning?
